Quick Declutter Tip for Clothes

THE DECLUTTERCORE™ METHOD
Collect | Categorize | Cut Out | Contain

✔️ Collect – Gather everything in your chosen space. Trash, empties, and what doesn’t belong—get it all in one spot.

✔️ Categorize – Sort items into clear, broad categories. Like with like. This helps you see what you really have.

✔️ Cut Out – Use the 3 Second Rule: If you hesitate, it’s a KEEP. If you’re sure, let it go—no guilt.

✔️ Contain – Store what’s left in a way that fits your space and how you function. Leave room to grow.

This method is designed for real homes, real brains, and real life—no pressure, just progress.

  1. I’m thinking that if it’s not an automatic “yes, keep it”, then it’s a maybe or a no, so it would have to go. (hesitation to declutter it is what got us to this situation in the first place).

  2. Good tip: Get a load of clear zipped storage bags and put sorted items STRAIGHT into the bags! Avoids piles of sorting clothes which is scary! Plus you can sort stuff into SEPERATE bags of donations immediately! I like small /medium zipped CLEAR pvc bags which aren’t heavy to pick up! Im doing this now, sorting loads of clothes and I’m dreading it! 😋🍗🚲☠️😁🇬🇧🙄

  3. The trick to purging is not buying so much in the first place! And you shouldn’t purge just so you can buy more to fill the space!
