  1. That’s not how you achieve sustainable change. You have to do things in small chunks and make incremental changes over time or your systems will not stick. Don’t try to plan for your whole house, tackle one cabinet or drawer and build one habit at a time. Otherwise you’re gonna get overwhelmed and end up abandoning your systems.

  2. I don`t have a problem with de cluttering. I have a problem with how to get rid of the stuff after the decluttering!. No transport makes taking it to charity hard work and it`s expensive when you need to pay refuse collectors to take the bulk of it.

  4. These are good suggestions, especially time to plan. I do it differently. Big blocks of time are hard for me so I use small increments of time and spaces. I group like items together in the house and work my way through the house as I come across it. For example, I would put things in the bathroom cabinets without worrying too much about it. Then I go through the drawers one day. The next week it’s the cabinet. That way it’s not overwhelming. You just have to do what works for you. I have a tendency to be too structured and will spend way too much time on the plan and never execute it because life is too busy for me. I’ve learned to let go of some things.
